He took Vanderin in as his apprentice and Vanderin is very glad about it. He is impressed by their abilities and wishes to be like them- people who find a lot of adventures. He respects them and is always ready to help them out when needed. Just like all friendly Characters, he can be blessed/shielded to be more effective in battle.Įven without any blessings, he is still able to deal a good amount of damage. Vanderin is a formidable fighter, capable of fighting from a long distance, thanks to his Bow. It is assumed that he is still alive, still looking for new adventures. He gets his Bow blessed by the elderly Mage and tries to help fend off the Sliths and their minions as best as he can.Īfter the end of the quest and Solberg's death, Vanderin leaves. The last time when we see him is when Solberg asks you to accompany him to the battle with Ess-Kalyn- The Manburner. When he talks to you, he expesses his gratitude towards Sergeant Nichol for taking him in and shows a great amount of excitement when Imps start appearing from the Portal.Īfter the quest is complete, he will flee with you outside, being one of the many survivors who escaped the Portal Room alive. The second area where you will find him is at the Great Portal for the Great Portal Quest. If you do so, he will occasionally say something funny/inspiring or even sing a song for you.Įither way, after the mission is completed he will disappear and you won't able to find him there anymore. You can determinantly take Vanderin with you on this mission. Vanderin can appear on various occasions, but only when you're doing Main Quests in Avernum 6.įor example, one of his appearances is at the start of the game when he can be found near the Goblin Mine where you will find the Goblin "Lord Trinket"- A hostile creature which you must kill in order to progress further into the game.
